| Universally Secured P2P Platform |

The edge of the internet is dominated by personal networks and this region
constitutes a major chunk of online data. This largely un-discovered mesh of
information is beyond the reach of major search engines and other online
information retrieval tools. Easy availability of inexpensive bandwidth and
local processing power in the form of powerful personal computers has brought
P2P computing closer to reality. Besides music and file sharing, P2P can offer
real time and cost effective collaborative solutions such as Personal
Networking.
The NetAlter Service Browser is based on the NetAlter System and Method which is
a distinctive “Information, Communication and Computational” (ICC) architecture
that provides for a peer to peer framework that serves as a mechanism for peer
discovery and interaction between computers.
NetAlter would offer a beneficial peer to peer solution based on the subsequent
features and functions;
- Active Discovery of Personal Networks: Dynamic discovery of individual
computers and Personal Networks to provide for status tracking of peers.
- Concurrent Availability of Shared Resources: Display concurrent
availability of shared resources among peers in the network.
- Securely Publication of Information via Personal Network: Securely
publish shared information, products and services via Peer to Peer Network.
- Intelligent P2P Enabled Search: Intelligent P2P enabled search based on
retrieval of locally stored search indexes instead of repeated query to main
servers. This will deliver results at exceptionally high speed as compared to
present search engines.
- User Friendly Browser Interface: An innovative, user friendly browser
interface which can be configured to enable the setup and application of peer to
peer functionality.
- Secured Collaborative Framework: Offers highly secured and trusted one to
one and one to many, direct messaging and collaborative framework including
sharing of local database and applications.
- Protection Against Threats: Robust protection against piracy, virus, spam
and complete protection for intellectual property rights.
- Formation of Users’ Personal Network: Users will be able to create their
own personal networks and define their own security measures for the local
computing resources.
- Well Defined Security Policies and Measures: Offer other users to login
to public and shared personal networks using a well defined and implemented
security policies and measures.
- Sharing of Computing Resources and Processing Power: Seamless integration
and sharing of computing resources such as memory and processing power in the
form of a GRID supercomputing platform; that enables connected peers to perform
tasks that require very high computing resources. This is made possible by
democratic sharing of idle local resources in the Peer to Peer Network.
- On Demand Connectivity: Offers on demand connectivity using multiple,
open communication protocols and significant autonomy for individual nodes with
temporary network addresses.
